I found Siteground.com to be a better host than Bluehost.com for ResourceSpace.

Why? because the default settings for “memory_limit”, “post_max_size”, “upload_max_filesize” are far more lenient and logical. The bluehost’s “post_max_size” is illogically smaller than “upload_max_filesize”, which makes the “upload_max_filesize” meaningless. Additionally, it appears that Siteground has ImageMagic installed by default. See the attached screenshot below:

Further to that, if you want to increase the “post_max_size” and “upload_max_filesize” settings, you can, by following the knowledgebase article from Siteground.com.

To be fair, Bluehost.com would also allow such custom php.ini over-riding. I tried it with my instance of ResourceSpace on bluehost, and it sort of worked, oh, maybe not. The ResourceSpace application would also see the settings as what is set by the overall general php.ini, no matter how you change the settings inside the custom php.ini or where you place the custom php.ini file. Too much hassle for me, I would rather not having to struggle with customizing those php.ini settings if a host like siteground.com provides me with good enough settings for ResourceSpace.
