I installed WPTouch on my blog and had a test run, and I really like it – it worked like a charm for me. It even knows hide  private posts. To get it to work nicely with WP Super Cache plugin, you need to follow the instructions in this post.

By the way, as I don’t have  a smartphone yet, I used a Firefox plugin for switching user agent to see how WPTouch theme would render, and that worked really well. The plugin is called “User Agent Switcher“.

One thing I noticed is that when viewing with a iPhone agent, inside the admin area, trying to insert an image into a post does not work. But I can live with that, I wouldn’t be using iPhone to insert images into a post; I can use my desktop Firefox to do that.

So WPTouch plugin is a keeper, definitely.
