In the early evening today, I decided to wash my car – the first time ever this year so far. Well, up to the last week, we were pretty much in winter and water would freeze on my driveway and make my inclined driveway treacherous to walk on.

This week marked the abrupt switch from down jacket to T-shirt in one big jump. Maybe in Canada we should say we only have two seasons in a year – the cold season and the warm season. And today it is definitely warm and balmy with temperature over probably 15 degrees Celcius.

My car has accumulated quite a bit of grime from a winter’s worth of mud and road salt on the exterior. By the time I chiffoned it dry, it was already dark. I cannot wait to see it tomorrow sparkling clean and shiny.
